Roof Extension to a Victorian terraced house in Cambridge

A significant remodeling of the roof space and rear elevation of a Victorian terraced house to provide an additional bedroom and space-saving en-suite shower room.

The extension is conceived as an L-shaped folded metal plane resting against brickwork walls, defining a large glazed area with impressive south-facing views.

Key environmental aspects include solar thermal water heating and extensive bespoke joinery in bamboo, including an alternate tread staircase, flooring and internal doors.
