The Shepherd's House

Orangery Extension to a Grade II Listed Cottage

A new orangery extension to an existing 17th century Grade II Llisted cottage, to replace a 1930s utility room.

The extension creates a living room opening onto the south facing garden, with a utility area link to the main house.

European oak is used extensively to create the new structural frame, which doubles up as the window frame. Inserted into this frame are painted softwood sliding folding doors and windows, the colour of which matches the joinery on the original house. Brick floor pammets match the floor finish of the original house, and run through to the external terrace, with steps up to the garden.
