Trilatera Competition - Mixed Use Urban Block, Cambridge

Joint competition entry with architect Juliet Davis for a mixed use urban block at the junction of Hills Road and Cherry Hinton Road in Cambridge.

The brief of the invited competition was to readdress the design of the corner tower and street elevations of the existing design by other architects. This led us to reconsider many strategic urban design decisions concerning the life of the streets and the urban scale of the whole development. The competition design thus treats the bulk of the development as a traditional perimeter urban block, with a sculptural tower rising from the corner addressing the scale of the new Cattle Market square.
